  3. USDA Program - Hope Community Outreach Center continues to serve as a site for the US Department of Agriculture  Food Service Program.

  4. Camden River Sharks - We are thankful to the Camden River Sharks for the continuing gift of fifty complimentary tickets to the Camden River Sharks Day Camp and divisional Play-off games.

  5. Home Ownership Classes - These classes will continue as more community residents express the desire to own and maintain their homes.

  6. Whitman Park Community Spring Concert - This event took place in May 2008 and brought together members of several communities for a day of excitement! Mayor Gwen Faison, Councilman Bill Spearman, and Congressman Rob Andrews joined seven area church choirs, Camden's jazz groups, praise dancers, steppers, and radio personality Big City in Whitman Park to see Camden's Youth On Parade and contribute to the festivities.

  7. Bridging The Gaps - This summer we welcomed two students from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey who were participating in a Community Health Internship Program. They spent their summer assisting with Center events, planning programs, and working with children and adults from the community.

  8. Philadelphia Eagles Book Mobile Storybook Man and his friends came to visit in June. He handed out books and posters, and encouraged the children to read. Everyone had a great time!
